01 — About

Renaissance form, cyberpunk light.

Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes platform engineering. Core contributor to the Oracle CPQ Move-to-Fusion migration — transforming a legacy Linux VM-based product into a scalable Kubernetes-based SaaS system on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Experienced in distributed systems, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps automation, and site reliability, with production expertise in observability, access governance, and incident response. Proven track record of building scalable platforms and LLM applications used by large engineering teams.

Form

Distributed systems with the dignity of architecture. Things that hold their shape under load, that read clearly five years later.

Light

Observability isn't a feature — it's the difference between knowing a system and guessing at it. I light my own rooms.

Touch

Every interface is a small handshake. The right interaction has weight, intention, a sense of who built it.

02 — Experience

Columns I’ve helped raise.

CPQ Product Migration — VMs → Kubernetes SaaS on OCI

  • Developed Terraform IaC modules for CPQ region build, integrated with Oracle's internal region deployment orchestrator. Automated provisioning across 41 regions in 7 OCI realms, cutting infra setup time to 60 minutes.
  • Implemented the CPQ Control Plane Helidon microservice orchestrating site lifecycle (deploy / upgrade / DR) across the data plane cluster, with metrics, tracing, and health probes.
  • Built the CPQ CLI used by 100+ developers to automate build, containerization, packaging, and site deployment across K8s clusters — multi-service onboarding via YAML, plus observability telemetry and auto-update.
  • Authored Helm charts enabling WebLogic workloads to run consistently on local and cloud K8s clusters. Standardized runtime config, secret management, and JVM tuning across environments.
  • Set up SRE / operational-readiness tooling: Grafana dashboards, Octo alerts, Kibana logs, runbooks. Enforced RBAC, change management, and on-call via IAM, Jira SD, and Fleet Manager.
  • Built the CPQ Docs Portal (Docusaurus + React) centralizing architecture, onboarding, and tooling docs.
  • Migrated CPQ into Oracle Fusion — expanding availability to all Fusion customers and increasing adoption.

LLM Applications — Sales Intelligence & Causal Analysis

  • Developed a Sales-Representative Copilot delivering dynamic task recommendations from real-time CRM activity and lead scores. Powered by a Temporal-based durable AI agent framework with retries.
  • Engineered a LangChain + GraphDB GraphRAG pipeline for internal incident analysis and environment causal investigation.
  • Designed an LLM-assisted Fortify violation autofix workflow that generates remediation PRs to accelerate security resolution.

AI Sales — Predictive Pipeline for CRM

  • Maintained Spring Boot pipeline components including data ingestion and flattening for lead scoring and product recommendation.
  • Redesigned alerting Helm charts and resolved production failures across ingestion and scheduling workflows.

Workflow Orchestration & Federated Learning for Data Mesh

  • Built approval workflow services using the Temporal Go SDK — scalable orchestration with fault-tolerant task execution.
  • Federated Learning as a Service with the Flower framework — privacy-preserving training with centralized aggregation.

Backend & DevOps for a Personalized Education Platform

  • Implemented Spring Boot REST APIs and database integrations generating practice questions from users' mini-test scores.
  • Built Docker-based CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins on Alibaba Cloud — automated build, test, and deploy.

04 — Off the clock

Out beyond the render.

Photography

Chasing light, on every trip.

I shoot mostly on the road — alpine ridgelines, coastal fog, neon city blocks at 1 a.m. The same instincts that draw me to clean system diagrams pull me toward clean compositions: contrast, hierarchy, a single subject the eye can rest on.

Travel & Hiking

Long trails, slow countries.

Mountains made me an engineer before code did. I plan trips around elevation gain, sunrise windows, and the kind of small towns that don't trend. Distributed systems and switchback trails reward the same thing — patience, a good map, and trusting the terrain.
